But when \u2018Dami Duro\u2019 became a huge success\u2026 I think it was the President\u2019s ringtone. Someone told me. At that point, people started advising my dad to allow me to do music,\u201d he said on April 8, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Davido further shared how he eventually decided to fulfill his father\u2019s wish for him \u2013 to continue his education.<\/p>\n<p>Davido added that he and his father are now best friends, quite a contrast to the past, when he used to be afraid of him.<\/p>\n<div class=\"inline-single-ad ad_single_index alignfull\">\n<div class=\"ad-wrap ad-script-wrap\">\n<div class=\"ad-script non-adsense edge-padding\">\n<p>\u201cI went further and accepted to return to school. I said I didn\u2019t have to run away, that I should have spoken to him. No way, I was younger then and he was unapproachable. I told him I was scared of him. Then, I was a kid. Now, we are best friends, we talk about everything. He comes to all my shows.
