{"id":12042,"date":"2025-07-30T14:23:49","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T14:23:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=12042"},"modified":"2025-07-30T14:23:49","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T14:23:49","slug":"former-miif-ceo-stopped-at-airport-over-unauthorised-travel-attempt-while-on-osp-bail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=12042","title":{"rendered":"Former MIIF CEO stopped at Airport over unauthorised travel attempt while on OSP bail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The former Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF), Mr. Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng, was stopped from boarding an international flight at the Kotoka International Airport on the night of 29th July, 2025.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/mahama-revokes-appointment-of-miif-ceo\/#google_vignette\">Mr Koranteng<\/a>, who is currently under investigation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and is on OSP enquiry bail, attempted to leave the country without obtaining the required express permission from the OSP.<\/p>\n<p>Unbeknownst to him, he had been placed on a travel watch list\u2014commonly referred to as a stop list\u2014due to the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Immigration officials at the airport flagged his attempt to travel and took him into custody.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Immigration Service informed the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/osp.gov.gh\/\">OSP<\/a>\u00a0of the incident.
