President John Dramani Mahama has urged global investors to take advantage of Africa\u2019s immense economic potential, describing the continent as \u201cthe world\u2019s most dynamic emerging market\u201d and positioning Ghana as the most reliable entry point.<\/p>\n
He made the call in his address at the Opening of the 8th Africa-Singapore Business Forum on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.<\/p>\n
According to him, Africa offers a unique opportunity for businesses and investors ready to scale, particularly in renewable energy, technology, and trade.<\/p>\n
\u201cI speak today as an African leader and as President of Ghana. Our message is simple: Africa is investable, and Ghana is your reliable gateway to the continent. The continent is the world\u2019s most dynamic emerging market,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Highlighting the continent\u2019s growth trajectory, President Mahama noted that Africa currently has a population of 1.4 billion people\u2014predominantly young, urbanising rapidly, and digitally connected. By 2030, he projected, Africa\u2019s cities will host more than 700 million consumers.<\/p>\n
He pointed out that the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) has created the largest new free trade zone in the world by the number of participating countries, unlocking a $3.4 trillion market and lowering barriers across supply chains.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfrica holds vast renewable energy potential and is already a global leader in mobile money and fintech adoption. This is a market ready for scaled solutions. Yet this opportunity must be matched with capital at the right price and with the right instruments,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n
