Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has urged Ghanaians to reduce their dependence on foreign goods, stressing that supporting locally made products directly contributes to job creation and national development.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Sunday, September 7, during Day Two of the\u00a0This is Ghana Exhibition<\/em>\u00a0in Accra, Mr. Debrah called on citizens to take pride in consuming Made-in-Ghana products, noting that patronising local goods strengthens industries and boosts economic growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur fabrics, our food, our crafts, our technology solutions, all of these reflect a Ghanaian identity that is strong, unique, and world-class. To our exhibitors, let me say this: You are not just showcasing products. You are showcasing Ghana\u2019s future. You are showing us that with persistence, quality, and innovation, Ghana can indeed rise to occupy its rightful place on the global market,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

The Chief of Staff also encouraged citizens to move beyond slogans and actively support Ghanaian products in their daily lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cFellow countrymen and women, we read speeches, we shout slogans, but what is left is to live the talk. I think it\u2019s about time that each Ghanaian must feel very proud when they turn around their home and check the number of things you see that are made in Ghana.<\/div>\n

\u201cThat way, I believe you will be part of the process that will transform this nation. Don\u2019t take too much pride by saying I\u2019m wearing something from X country or Y country. What you are doing, in effect, is that you are putting money into their pockets and you are creating jobs for their teenage youth. How about you trying to consume something made in Ghana? That way, you are sure that jobs are going to be created for our children,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Mr. Debrah assured that government would continue to create the enabling environment for businesses to thrive, adding that the success of local enterprises ultimately translates into success for the nation.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0This is Ghana Exhibition<\/em>\u2014dubbed \u201cthe ultimate Made-in-Ghana experience\u201d\u2014serves as a platform for Ghanaian businesses to showcase their creativity, engage consumers, and attract investors. Exhibitors benefit from direct feedback from patrons, networking opportunities, and potential long-term partnerships.<\/p>\n

A wide range of products are on display, including packaged foods, beverages, fashion, electronics, home accessories, health and beauty essentials, and research innovations.
