The Office of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has dismissed claims suggesting he is seeking an audience with President John Dramani Mahama to secure assurances for the safe passage of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.<\/p>\n
The clarification comes amid the ongoing legal battle between Mr Ofori-Atta and several anti-graft agencies, including the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), over allegations that he caused financial loss to the state.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the former president\u2019s office described the reports as false and urged the public to disregard them.<\/p>\n

The office reaffirmed that the former president remains a firm believer in democratic principles and is committed to the rule of law.
