Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has announced that preparations for the rollout of the government\u2019s flagship Women\u2019s Development Bank are at an advanced stage.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the 65th End-of-Year Gathering and General Meeting of the Greater Accra Markets Association (GAMA), she revealed that a two-day workshop has been convened to finalise key implementation strategies for the initiative.<\/p>\n
\u201cWomen are not lazy, it is help that we need. Every major policy needs appropriate preparation and consultation, so it thrives,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang noted that the Women\u2019s Development Bank is expected to provide targeted financial support for women, particularly those in trading and small-scale enterprises.<\/p>\n
She also appealed to market leaders and traders to support efforts to keep market centres clean, stressing that sanitation remains critical in reducing flooding, especially during the rainy season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
