The Base Movement (TBM) has said its newly launched organisational and digital structures form part of preparations to propel Kennedy Agyapong \u201cinto the light in 2027\u201d and advance the movement\u2019s longer-term 2028 political agenda.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr Agyapong, a two-time New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant who contested the party\u2019s presidential primaries in 2023 and 2026, has been identified by TBM as part of its political plans.<\/p>\n

The movement\u2019s Chief Operations Coordinator and head of its National Coordinating Committee (NCC), Jacob Osei Yeboah, who disclosed this, said the movement remained open to people from other political organisations, including supporters associated with Alan Kyerematen\u2019s United Party (UP) and groups aligned with Mr Agyapong.<\/p>\n

He said this at the launch of TBM\u2019s online radio platform, new website and administrative and operations manual at the movement\u2019s national headquarters at Tesano, Accra, last Monday.<\/p>\n

It coincided with Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day and the 117th birthday anniversary of Dr Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah, which TBM used to highlight its stated commitment to economic transformation and political change.<\/p>\n

Wider support<\/h2>\n

Mr Yeboah said the organisational work was intended to strengthen TBM\u2019s structures, expand its membership and increase its participation in Ghana\u2019s national policy conversation.<\/p>\n

He said TBM\u2019s online membership platform would facilitate the registration of Ghanaians across all 276 constituencies, as well as supporters in the diaspora.<\/p>\n

Digital push<\/h2>\n

Mr Yeboah said the online radio would provide a platform for communicating TBM\u2019s programmes, activities and policy positions to audiences in Ghana and abroad.<\/p>\n

He said the movement would expand its digital presence on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube, while www.thebasemovement.org.gh would serve as its central digital platform.<\/p>\n

The Administrative Structures and Operations Manual, he said, would guide the administration and coordination from the national level through regional, constituency and polling-station structures.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur system does not believe in individual dictators but works strictly on committees for collective glory,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr Yeboah said the NCC had consolidated its online operations following technical difficulties after the July 3 Mega Walk in the Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n

He said a September 19 meeting involving the APP A and APP C teams, the ICT resolution team, the NCC and board members resulted in a decision to discontinue APP A and the previous .com domain and move operations to APP C on the new website.<\/p>\n

He said TBM remained open to merging relevant APP A membership data but warned that the NCC could consider legal options in the UK, US and Australia if it believed membership data was being withheld or used for personal gain.<\/p>\n

Political agenda
\nMr Yeboah criticised the NPP and the NDC, accusing them of operating a political duopoly that had not delivered the development Ghanaians expected.
\nHe said the Working Ghana Agenda (WGA) would focus on youth employment and support for elderly citizens and pensioners.<\/p>\n
