{"id":3332,"date":"2024-02-24T15:00:31","date_gmt":"2024-02-24T15:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=3332"},"modified":"2024-02-24T15:00:33","modified_gmt":"2024-02-24T15:00:33","slug":"heres-why-afua-asantewaa-reportedly-got-disqualified-as-she-flouted-the-3rd-guinness-world-record-singathon-rule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=3332","title":{"rendered":"Here\u2019s Why Afua Asantewaa Reportedly Got Disqualified As She Flouted The 3rd Guinness World Record Singathon Rule"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Unfortunately, the Guinness World Record (GWR) has disqualified Ghana\u2019s Afua Asantewaa\u2019s sing-a-thon attempt.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a tweet responding to a comment enquiring about her attempt, the GWR said;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u201cUnfortunately, Afua\u2019s Guinness World Record attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful but we hope that she will make another attempt soon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The GWR also noted that the evidence check had already begun before Afua requested priority service hence her earlier payment has been refunded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amidst the unfortunate news, recall that on 29th December 2023, GhPage media published an article which threw light on the possible reasons that could get Afua Asantewaa disqualified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the video, Afua Asantewaa violated some of the rules set by Guinness World Records for the Sing-A-Thon category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;The video pointed to specific instances where Aduonum allegedly took more breaks than allowed and engaged in unauthorized activities during her marathon singing session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the key concerns raised by us was the frequency and duration of the breaks taken by Aduonum throughout the Sing-A-Thon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"ose-youtube ose-uid-8edf89ee55dc93bce83643ad5b58c693 ose-embedpress-responsive\" style=\"width:400px; This is at the discretion of the Guinness World Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(3) Singing must be continuous with only brief pauses of not more than 30 seconds allowed between songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(4) Each piece of music performed must last for at least two minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(5) No piece of music may be repeated in performance within four hours. Songs can only repeated after 4 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(6) Applicant is permitted to take a five-minute break every hour or 20-minute breaks after four hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(7) Improvisation or jamming is not allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(8) Applicants may be accompanied or not accompanied.
