{"id":5499,"date":"2024-05-07T13:58:04","date_gmt":"2024-05-07T13:58:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=5499"},"modified":"2024-05-07T13:58:07","modified_gmt":"2024-05-07T13:58:07","slug":"bank-of-ghana-will-not-hesitate-to-crack-the-whip-on-financial-institutions-involved-in-breaches-addison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=5499","title":{"rendered":"Bank of Ghana will not hesitate to crack the whip on financial institutions involved in breaches \u2013 Addison"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr Ernest Addison, has said that the central bank will not hesitate to crack the whip on institutions involved in regulatory breaches.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the regulator, he said, the Bank of Ghana is fully committed to remain vigilant in its oversight operations of all financial institutions in Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That notwithstanding , he said, banks have continued to breach guidelines that have been set to ensure that the Banking system remains safe and sound and free from all facets of financial crime including money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, corruption, market manipulation, insider dealings and cybercrime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs the regulator, the Bank of Ghana is fully committed to remain vigilant in its oversight operations of all financial institutions in Ghana.
