{"id":5614,"date":"2024-05-10T09:05:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-10T09:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=5614"},"modified":"2024-05-10T09:05:03","modified_gmt":"2024-05-10T09:05:03","slug":"live-up-to-expectation-have-a-backup-plan-afenyo-markin-to-ec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=5614","title":{"rendered":"Live up to expectation, have a backup plan \u2013 Afenyo-Markin to EC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to develop a contingency plan to address the challenges encountered during the limited voter registration exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The registration process has faced network challenges, and many people have been unable to register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After touring some registration centers, Mr. Afenyo-Markin who is also the Member of Parliament for Effutu charged the EC to have a backup plan to ensure all eligible voters registered before the deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Electoral Commission must improve on its system of registration. Obviously, if we are all talking about network failures, then I am not sure that they will be able to complete on schedule.
