{"id":6477,"date":"2024-06-12T15:13:22","date_gmt":"2024-06-12T15:13:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=6477"},"modified":"2024-06-12T15:13:24","modified_gmt":"2024-06-12T15:13:24","slug":"free-senior-high-school-bill-to-be-presented-to-parliament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=6477","title":{"rendered":"Free Senior High School Bill to be presented to Parliament"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>As part of moves to regulate and sustain the free senior high school policy, the government is presenting a bill to Parliament for consideration.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This comes in the wake of fears of a possible cancellation of the policy by future governments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin told journalists in Parliament on Tuesday, June 10 \u201cIf we consider what that means it becomes mandatory for governments to implement. The chapter five of the Constitution provides some aspirational indicative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThose are not justiciable, but once by a policy of the government, an aspiration as a message by the constitution is put into action then to make it justiciable, you enact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn other words, there are provisions in the constitution that you cannot enforce, you cannot claim the right to those provisions.
