In his brother’s absence, Jordan Ayew rose to the occasion in Ghana’s recent World Cup qualifying matches.

The Crystal Palace forward played a crucial role in Ghana’s victory over Mali, coming off the bench to score a stoppage-time winner and ending the Black Stars’ eight-game winless streak.

His performance earned him a starting spot in the subsequent game against the Central African Republic (CAR), where he scored a hat-trick, leading Ghana to a thrilling 4-3 victory. It’s his brother. Sure, he wants him to be next to him, but what will happen: it’s my decision, it’s our coaching staff’s decision.

“As a brother, he would like him to be next to him.
