Indeed in many ways, Africa has been the greatest victim,\u201d he said in his&nbsp;remarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He called for Russia and China to join in the talks process, \u201cif we\u2019re ever going to arrive at a definitive settlement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Akufo-Addo said that Ghana opposes \u201cgreat power hegemony and the bullying of small states by big powers. It is in this context that we view and continue to view Russia\u2019s invasion and acts of aggression.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eighty countries, including Ukraine, and four European institutions\u00a0signed\u00a0the final joint communique of the Switzerland peace summit on June 16, according to a Kyiv Independent reporter on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"ose-youtube ose-uid-1d7698d9697b1ca3decdafc2bd231232 ose-embedpress-responsive\" style=\"width:400px; height:400px; max-height:400px; max-width:100%; display:inline-block;\" data-embed-type=\"Youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowFullScreen=\"true\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V6jtSIAv_70?feature=oembed&color=red&rel=0&controls=1&start=&end=&fs=0&iv_load_policy=0&autoplay=0&mute=0&modestbranding=0&cc_load_policy=1&playsinline=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; encrypted-media;accelerometer;autoplay;clipboard-write;gyroscope;picture-in-picture clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen referrerpolicy=\"origin\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over 100 countries and organizations were present at the summit, Ghana\u2019s presidency said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The countries notably absent from the list of signatories include India, Armenia, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Indonesia, Bahrain, Colombia, South Africa, Thailand, Mexico, and the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beijing did not send representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on China to join in developing the peace proposals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cChina could help us,\u201d Zelensky told reporters, adding that though it had close ties with the Kremlin, \u201cUkraine never said that China is our enemy.
