The\u00a0<\/strong>Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has announced that it will appeal the decision of the High Court in the case between it and Tobinco Pharmaceuticals.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the authority, it does not agree with the court\u2019s decision hence its decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It, however, clarified that there was no negligence on the part of the current Chief Executive, who has since the initiation of the case ensured that the Authority responds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement from the FDA clarified that the issues between it and Tobincco dates back to 2013 when Stephen Opuni was the Chief Executive of the FDA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elder Dr. Samuel Amo Tobbin, the Chief Executive Officer of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited has welcomed a court ruling, which completely exonerates him from allegations of importing fake drugs into the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Accra High Court presided over by her Ladyship, Audrey Kocuvie-Tay, has ruled that Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited (TPL) and its group chairman, Elder Dr. Samuel Amo Tobbin, never imported fake drugs <\/a>into the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This follows claims by former Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni, that Tobinco had imported fake drugs into the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
