{"id":7772,"date":"2024-08-19T09:18:45","date_gmt":"2024-08-19T09:18:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=7772"},"modified":"2024-08-19T09:18:51","modified_gmt":"2024-08-19T09:18:51","slug":"bawumias-pledge-to-govern-with-50-ministers-is-a-great-move-franklin-cudjoe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fishfmonline.com\/?p=7772","title":{"rendered":"Bawumia\u2019s pledge to govern with 50 ministers is a great move \u2013 Franklin Cudjoe."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Founding President of IMANI Africa Franklin has welcomed the pledge by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to govern with fifty ministers if he wins this year\u2019s general elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr Bawumia while, speaking at the NPP\u2019s manifesto launch in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, stated that efficient governance does not require a large number of ministers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI will have no more than 50 ministers in my government,\u201d Dr. Bawumia stated, highlighting his commitment to streamlining the government\u2019s structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further stated that \u201cMy government will move towards leasing rather than outright purchase of goods such as vehicles, printing equipment, and so on.&nbsp; The private sector will have the responsibility for maintaining the equipment. It is almost 4\u00d7 higher now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd Dumsor was solved by December 2016 so there was no need for it in 2024. His Flat Tax idea though will be impactful if implemented well.
