As the Black Stars gear up for their World Cup Qualifying campaign, coach Chris Hughton has highlighted the critical importance of securing a victory in their opening match against Madagascar.

Despite facing rumors of a potential sacking by the Ghana Football Association, Hughton remains focused on achieving success on the field. With three training sessions under their belt, the team is set

The seasoned coach, formerly with Newcastle United, acknowledged the constant pressure that comes with his role as head coach. In a pre-match statement, Hughton expressed his commitment to delivering positive results for the Black Stars: “The pressure that I am under as head coach and I am always under is to win football matches. We want to be able to win football matches and score lots of goals and concede none. This is heaven, but we can’t always have that. What is important is to make sure that we win.”

Hughton’s emphasis on winning reflects the team’s collective goal to secure a triumphant start to the World Cup Qualifying campaign. The coach’s dedication to achieving success on the pitch despite external pressures underscores the resilience and determination of the Black Stars.

In addition to the Black Stars’ crucial encounter with Madagascar, other matches in the group are set to unfold. Mali will host Chad at an undisclosed time, and later in the day at 7 PM, the Central African Republic will face Comoros, playing as guests in what promises to be an exciting clash.
