In a recent statement, Mr. Henry Nana Boakye, the National Organizer of the ruling NPP, asserted that their recently concluded parliamentary primaries were characterized by transparency and fairness.

He emphasized the positive impact of new faces and energy, anticipating that the newly elected parliamentary candidates would benefit from the experiences of those who have previously served.

Expressing concern about allegations of delegates being paid for votes, Mr. Boakye called on the media to focus on the peaceful nature of the elections rather than engaging in negative reporting. He highlighted the calm atmosphere and absence of problems encountered during the primaries.

During an interview with Mac Jerry of Neat Fm, Mr. Henry Nana Boakye addressed the potential change in the December 7th election date due to a petition from the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He expressed no objection to the date change, citing the NDC’s claim of victory in advance.

Boakye emphasized that there is no rush within the NPP to select a running mate for Vice President and Flagbearer Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, urging the NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, to make the first move. The NPP, as a party, is focused on choosing a running mate at the opportune moment rather than being pressured into a hasty decision.
