Ghanaian Afrobeat sensation, Raphael Kofi Attachie, popularly known as Camidoh, has received advice from his mother to refrain from painting his nails.
Camidoh was recently nominated in the Viewers Choice: Best International Act category at the 2023 BET Awards, alongside Asake, FLO, Libianca, Maureen, MC Ryan SP, Pabi Cooper, Raye, and Werenoi.
Although he did not win the award, he garnered praise from fans, music lovers, and industry insiders for achieving such recognition at an early stage of his music career.
Expressing his excitement, Camidoh shared a screenshot of his BET nomination flyer with his mother through WhatsApp.
In response, his mother congratulated him and thanked God for his success, writing,
“Waoooow! God is good ooh. To him be the Glory and honor. Congratulations.”
However, Camidoh’s mother didn’t stop there; she also offered him some advice regarding his appearance.
Noticing that the ‘Adole’ crooner often painted his fingernails black, she conveyed that many of his fans do not appreciate it.
She wrote, “Raphael, please and please stop painting your nails. A lot of your fans don’t like it, okay?”
On social media, many fans have expressed their agreement with Camidoh’s mother’s advice.
