The Africa Prosperity Network has said the 2023 Global Africa Forum will boost investments in the continent, as well as, increase intra[1]African trade.

The event is expected to take place on Thursday, September 21, 2023, in New York. The 2023 Global Africa will be on the margins of the 78th UN General Assembly under the theme “Mobilising global Africa investment to boost intra-African trade”.

In a press release sighted by GhanaWeb Business, it said,”The compact identifies the mobilisation of alternative (domestic) funding as an action to pursue to enhance intra-African trade…It will serve as a platform to identify the appropriate measures with which to channel global Africa funds as an alternative source of financing for enhancing intra-African trade.”

“The forum will also explore the strategies and processes required to ensure that global Africa investments are at the centre of efforts to boost trade among African countries,” part of the release read.

The event will bring together African heads of state, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, global business leaders such as Afrexim Bank President, Prof. Benedict Oramah, AfCFTA Secretary-General, Wamkele Mene, among others and social change makers.
