A gold dealer and pub owner, Mr. Ezekiel, known affectionately as Aikins, has been apprehended and assaulted by residents in Wassa Akonsia, Wassa Amenfi East, and Western Region. Before local authorities intervened, Ezekiel’s body suffered significant injuries, with onlookers witnessing a distressing scene.

Ezekiel’s car was discovered parked at the cemetery entrance, where he was observed moving in and out of the area carrying a pot filled with eggs, schnapps, and other items believed to be associated with ritual practices.

According to Akoa Paul, a reporter from Rivers FM based in Wassa Amenfi, Ezekiel claimed that his business had been experiencing a downturn, with mysterious items like carries, rice, and gari frequently found around his establishment. Seeking guidance, he consulted a malam who attributed the issues to envy within his community.

Upon the malam’s advice, Ezekiel allegedly performed a ritual in the nearby cemetery at 1 o’clock am to revive his business, as reported to Superintendent Simon Seth-Oglo of the Wassa Amenfi Municipal Command.

However, residents voiced concerns about the recent deaths of two young men and speculated that Ezekiel might have been at the cemetery for their corpses. The case is currently under investigation by the police.
