In the upcoming edition of the President’s Cup, Kumasi Asante Kotoko is set to clash with Ivorian side ASEC Memosas, as reported by ADWENKESE3 SPORTS. The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has successfully negotiated an agreement between the two clubs for this highly anticipated one-off game.

Scheduled for March 5, 2024, the encounter will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. Notably, reports indicate that there will be no gate fees charged for spectators attending the fixture.

Asante Kotoko, having faced defeats in the last two editions against Hearts of Oak, is eager to secure victory this time, especially as they host the game on their home ground. The last time the Reds claimed the trophy was in 2019.

The President’s Cup is an annual one-off cup match organized by GHALCA to honor the sitting president of Ghana. Asante Kotoko holds the record as the most successful club since the inception of the Cup game, boasting 8 victories, while Hearts of Oak has won it 6 times.
