Afua Asantewaa, the lady who attempted to break the record for the longest singing marathon, has apologized to the people of Ghana for not announcing her disqualification.

She says she could not announce her disqualification because she does not have access to her official Guinness World Records account.

Therefore, she does not even have an official letter announcing her disqualification.

To people who think she is dishonest, she indicated that she hasn’t been dishonest, and she would have announced the disqualification regardless of the disappointment because she is a strong person.

“As I sit here I don’t have official documents to even post on my social media that this is my disqualification letter. That is the reason they probably went ahead of me to comment on somebody’s post and it went viral.

I think that I’ve not disappointed Ghanaians, the only disappointment may be that they didn’t hear it from me first, which I apologize for because it’s beyond my control, and I know that at the right time, they will get to understand and believe my story,” she said in an interview on Accra-based GhOne TV.
