The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Justin Kodua Frimpong says the party’s director of communications Richard Ahiagbah is in stable condition and responding to treatment after being involved in a near-fatal accident on Saturday.

Kodua Frimpong who visited Ahiagbah at the Komfo Anokye Tecaheing Hosital said that the attending doctors have advised limiting visitors to ensure Mr. Ahiagbah receives adequate rest during his recovery.

“Earlier today, I visited Mr. Richard Ahiagba, the party’s Communications Director, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) following an accident he had on his way to Kumasi for a party programme.

“Mr. Ahiagbah is in a stable condition and is responding positively to treatment. The NPP expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all well-meaning Ghanaians for their overwhelming love and well wishes.

“The attending doctors have advised limiting visitors to ensure Mr. Ahiagba receives adequate rest during his recovery. The party appreciates everyone’s earnest prayers and support during this time,” he wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday July 28.

Mr Ahiagbah was involved in the accident after his car collided with another vehicle which occurred early Saturday morning around 1:30 am on the Kumasi-Accra highway near Aduapompo.

He was the only one in the vehicle when it was involved in a crash with an articulated truck.
