Ahafo Region: Interior Minister renews curfew hours imposed on Bomaa township.

The Minister for the Interior Henry Quartey has, by an Executive Instrument, renewed the curfew hours imposed on Bomaa Township and its environs in the Ahafo Region.

The hours start from 11:00 pm to 4:00am effective Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

In addition to the renewal of the curfew, there is also a total ban on all persons in the Bomaa Township and its environs from carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapon

In a statement, the government urged “Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth and people of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them as well as to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.

“Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the Bomaa Township and its environs from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapon, and any person found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.”
