A 50-year-old man named Kofi Bour has taken his own life by hanging himself with an electric iron cable at Boamang, located in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region.

According to the deceased’s aunt, Kofi Bour, a tailor, lived with her in the same house at Boamang.

She explained that on the evening of Saturday, August 24, 2024, Kofi Bour returned from another house at Boamang/Maase.

The aunt and Kofi Bour then went to their respective rooms to sleep.

Early this morning, some children came to collect funeral clothes that Kofi Bour had sewn for them.

When they received no response after knocking for a while, the aunt attempted to knock and eventually forced the door open.

She discovered Kofi Bour hanging in his room.

Kofi Bour was married and had two children.

The Afigya Kwabre North Police Command was notified and took the body to the St. Patrick Hospital Mortuary at Offinso.

An investigation into the incident has begun.
