Government through the Ministry of Health has announced a 50 per cent reduction in admission fees for all Nursing and Allied Health Training Institutions across the country.
In a release signed by the Ministry’s Deputy Director and Spokesperson, Tony Goodman, on Sunday, August 31, 2025, he said the intervention will take effect from the 2025/2026 academic year.
The Minister, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, had earlier mentioned that the initiative formed part of government policies earmarked to support health care workers in the country.
The ‘No-Fee Stress’ policy is designed to provide financial relief for students who are seeking academic qualification in the field.
All Heads of the respective institutions have been urged to strictly adhere to the directive and avoid charging unauthorized fees from the students.
“All institutions are strictly required to adhere to the approved fees and items as communicated by the Ministry.
“No institution is permitted to charge above the approved amount or demand payment for items covered under the policy,” the statement said.
The Heads of the training institutions have also been directed to commence the necessary processes towards admitting students for the new academic year.
