In preparation for the upcoming December 2024 parliamentary elections, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to convene on Saturday, January 27, 2024, for a pivotal task – the selection of Parliamentary Candidates in Constituencies with incumbent Members of Parliament.

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer, has conveyed his sincere well-wishes to all aspirants who have courageously presented themselves for consideration. Acknowledging the toil and dedication required for this journey, Dr Bawumia emphasized the aspirants’ commitment to serving the people.

In his message, the Vice President urged all aspirants to adhere to the principles ingrained in the party’s democratic culture, emphasizing freedom, fairness, and peace. “We are all responsible for ensuring the integrity of our party’s electoral system and complying with the decisions of the delegates,” he stated.

Dr Bawumia underscored the significance of the December 2024 election, characterizing it as crucial for both the party and the nation. He called for unity, strength, and a collective focus on securing victory in 2024, urging everyone to transcend personal interests for the greater goal of advancing the principles of the New Patriotic Party.

Offering congratulations to unopposed Members of Parliament in their constituencies, Dr Bawumia expressed confidence in their leadership, urging them to justify this trust by collaborating with stakeholders to secure success in both presidential and parliamentary polls.
