West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus will not be available for the Black Stars when they take on Nigeria and Uganda during the March international break.

Kudus, who has been in a scintillating form for the Hammers in the ongoing campaign was named among the 26-man squad released by Otto Addo last week.

But the former FC Nordjaelland star has been excluded from the games due to an injury setback. The 23-year-old is currently nursing shoulder discomfort his picked whiles in action for West Ham United against Aston Villa at the London Stadium.

The highly-rated midfielder becomes the latest player to pull out of the Black Stars games after FC Lorient defender Nathaniel Adjei and Auxerre’s Elisha Owusu.

Ghana are set to clash with Nigeria on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Grande Stade Marrakech, followed by a match against Uganda at the same venue on March 26.

The four-time African champions has already begun their preparations in Morocco under the new technical team led by Otto Addo ahead of the friendlies. At the moment, 23 players have reported to camp.

Otto begins his reign against the two African countries and will be hoping for a flying start to his second spell with the national team.

The former Ghana International replaced Chris Hughton, who was shown the exit door following the Black Stars poor performance at the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.
