Popular Kumawood actor, Lil Win was charged with dangerous driving, negligently causing harm when he appeared before the Asokore Mampong District Court on Monday, June 3.

Subsequently, Lil Win was granted bail in the sum of GH¢50,000 with two sureties. His counsel, Margaret Adjei-Twum while arguing for bail said Lil Win has suffered internal bleeding and injuries and needed more time for treatment.

She gave the court her word that Lil Win, being a well-known person, would not obstruct police inquiries. The prosecution asked that the accused make himself available whenever needed as investigation into the matter continues.

The case has been adjourned to June 27, 2024.

The actor was arrested on the morning of Monday, June 3 shortly after he was discharged from the Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital on Monday.

His arrest is linked to the accident that occurred on Saturday, May 25 which had claimed the life of a three-year-old boy. The accident took place hours to the premiere of his movie, ‘A Country Called Ghana.’

According to eyewitnesses, Lil Win was driving at a top speed when his vehicle collided with the victim’s car causing the accident.

The Family of the deceased three-year-old has since demanded that justice be served to the actor causing the death of their beloved son.
