The Police have dismissed reports of militia training in Kwahu in the Eastern Region ahead of the 2024 general elections.

The Police in a statement said that there was no evidence to support the claim after conducting an investigation.

“We wish to state that our investigation has found no evidence of such training in the area.

“The Police have commenced investigation to identify those behind the false publication to come and answer for their actions in line with the due process of the law.

“We wish to caution the public against the publication and dissemination of fake news,” the statement said.
