The National Security Minister, Honourable Albert Kan-Dapaah, in an interview with Aduanaba Abena Saah on Fish TV/Fish FM, has called for peace ahead of the December 7, 2024, elections.

The National Security Minister explained that supporters of different political parties should maintain peace and harmony during the election period.

According to him, belonging to a different political party is similar to being part of one family where each member supports a different football club. Since such differences do not cause disturbances, political affiliations should not either.

“I am a supporter of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, and some of my children support Accra Hearts of Oak. They tease me anytime Hearts defeats Kotoko but still come back in the morning for me to play my fatherly role. Should our different football affiliations disturb the peace in our home? It even makes life more enjoyable that way,” he jokingly added.
