According to GMet, residents along the coastal regions and slightly inland should prepare for cloudy weather with scattered thunderstorms from Wednesday, March 26, some accompanied by rain.

Thursday, March 27 forecast

Coastal Areas: Early morning misty conditions, followed by sunny intervals. Some areas may experience isolated thunderstorms later in the day.
  • Middle Belt & Transition Zones: Persistent cloudy skies overnight, with scattered thunderstorms in different locations. Morning mist will give way to sunshine, but scattered thunderstorms remain likely later.
  • Northern Ghana: Mostly sunny conditions throughout the day, but isolated thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon or evening.

Friday, March 28 forecast

The weather pattern is expected to continue into Friday, with misty mornings transitioning to sunny conditions.

  • Thunderstorms are likely to develop in scattered locations, particularly in the middle and northern parts of the country.
  • Northern Ghana will experience hotter temperatures, with mostly clear skies during the day, although scattered thunderstorms could occur in some areas.

GMet has advised the public to stay alert, especially in areas prone to heavy rainfall and strong winds. The agency has urged residents and travelers to take necessary precautions and remain informed about sudden weather changes.
