Parliament is set to resume sittings on Tuesday, May 27, following a recess, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced.

The Second Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 27 May 2025.

The Speaker issued the notice in accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, which mandates that Members of Parliament (MPs) be formally notified of upcoming sittings.

This ensures that all parliamentary members are adequately informed and prepared for the resumption of business.

This marks the official return of parliamentary proceedings after the recent break, with MPs expected to engage in debates on key national issues, review legislation, and consider reports from various parliamentary committees.

The session will provide a platform for critical discussions on matters of public interest.
