A high-level Ghanaian government delegation has concluded strategic engagements in Beijing, China, securing a partnership under the 24-Hour Economy Agenda.

This was announced in a Facebook post by the Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

The delegation, led by the Presidential Advisor to the 24-Hour Economy Secretariat, Goosie Tanoh, followed up on last year’s official state visit of President John Dramani Mahama to China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.

Through the initiative of the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the Beijing Language and Culture University to deepen bilateral cooperation in Tourism, Arts, Culture, Festivals, Film, Music, and Culinary Heritage.

The partnership also secures an international exhibition for Ghana in Beijing, scheduled for March 2026, and sets the stage for the establishment of a Ghana–China Research Institute for Tourism, Arts and Culture.
