The decision was announced following a meeting at the Élysée Palace, where both leaders discussed cooperation in key areas including health, agriculture, infrastructure, artificial intelligence and regional security.
The National Health Platform, described as a health compact, is expected to support Ghana’s healthcare system and ongoing reforms. President Mahama welcomed the move and thanked the French government for the partnership.
The meeting was part of President Mahama’s one-day visit to France, during which he also co-chaired the One Health Summit 2026 in Lyon.
President Macron praised his participation and recognised the impact of the Accra Reset Initiative, which President Mahama said is helping to address global health challenges.
The discussions also covered plans to strengthen collaboration in agriculture to improve food production, as well as partnerships in artificial intelligence and maternal health.
