In a lively gathering held in Kwamang, the Member of Parliament representing the Afigya Kwabre North Constituency, Collins Adomako Mensah, showcased his unswerving commitment to agriculture by presenting a tricycle truck, commonly known as Aboboyaa, to Madam Lydia Konadu.
She was honoured as the esteemed recipient of the 2023 District Best Farmer award.
Accompanying this generous gesture, he graciously provided pyragyia to extension officers, facilitating their essential work in farm inspections. Furthermore, as part of his concerted effort to inspire and empower the youth in the agricultural sector, a 43-inch television was gifted to the top District youth farmer.
Sharing the motive behind his benevolent acts, Hon. Collins Adomako Mensah expressed, “I aim to motivate the youth to leverage various government initiatives, fostering sustainable livelihoods.”
Noteworthy is CAM’s consistent support of the Farmers’ Day awards since 2021. Over the past year, he made a significant contribution to the farming community by distributing thousands of coconut seedlings to local farmers.
The District Best Farmer Award, an annual celebration, stands as a testament to recognizing and honouring the exceptional dedication of farmers in the Afigya Kwabre North District towards the advancement of agriculture.
