As part of his two-day tour in the Eastern Region, National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama addressed concerns raised in the latest report by the Ghana Integrity Initiative. The report indicated that Ghana received a zero score for the fourth consecutive year in the fight against corruption, according to the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2023 released by Transparency International (TI) on January 30, 2024.

Mahama shared his thoughts on this matter during an interaction with the Clergy at Eastern Premier Hotel. Additionally, he pledged to undertake a comprehensive review of the Free Senior High School (SHS) Policy within the first 100 days if he is elected as president.

During the session, Mahama expressed concern about the abandoned community day school infrastructure initiated by the current government, labeling the situation as unpardonable. He assured the audience of his commitment to addressing unemployment and stabilizing the economy through his proposed 24-hour policy, should he be re-elected.
