Ghanaian gospel sensation Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, popularly known as KODA, is reportedly dead. He was 45.

sources close to the musician confirmed the news that the popular gospel artiste and producer succumbed to a short illness in the early hours of Sunday, April 21.

A well-known personality in the Ghanaian gospel industry, KODA was a multi-talented singer noted for his soulful voice, record production, and songwriting skills.

“Keteke,” his most recent album, was well-received both critically and commercially when it was released in January 2021.

KODA, celebrated for his uplifting melodies and soulful compositions, has left an indelible mark on the Ghanaian music scene.

With hits like ‘Nsempii,’ ‘Nkwa Abodoo,’ ‘Yapai,’ and ‘Adorso’ to his credit, his music resonated deeply with audiences, inspiring hope and faith.

As a songwriter and producer, KODA produced music for notable gospel artistes like the late Danny Nettey, Ps. Joe Beechem, Nii Okai, Halal Afrika, Eugene Zuta, and many others.

His music is filled with messages of optimism and resilience, and he is known for his contagious energy.

It is anticipated that the family will soon provide details regarding the cause of his illness and funeral arrangements.
