Afigya Kwabre North Social Welfare department of the Afigya Kwabre North District Assembly in the Ashanti Region has made significant donations to persons with disabilities in the district. The items donated include refrigerators, provisions, a fufu pounding machine, gallons of red oil, and more.
District Chief Executive ,Hon. Akwasi Karikari Acheamfour detailed the procedures for disbursing funds to persons with disabilities, noting that this event marks the 12th edition of such donations. He emphasized that improvements have been made based on past experiences to better serve the community.
Hon. Vincent Yomedoh, the assembly member for the Penteng Patasi Papentia electoral area and convener of the social welfare sub-committee, explained the selection process for beneficiaries. He highlighted the committee’s diligent efforts in organizing the donation and expressed gratitude to the District Chief Executive, Hon. Akwasi Karikari Acheamfour, for his support and leadership.
The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the items received and thanked the DCE and his administration for their continued support.
