Ghanaian comedy star C Confion loses battle with illness

Ghana’s vibrant comedy scene is dimmed today by the passing of Bright Owusu, the beloved actor known by fans as C Confion.

News of his passing on December 20, 2024, spread quickly, leaving colleagues and fans heartbroken.

C Confion, a rising star who shone brightly as part of Dr. Likee’s (Akabenezer) comedy troupe, had been battling a critical illness.

Just days prior, on December 18th, Akabenezer Productions released a statement confirming C Confion was receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. The statement, while acknowledging the seriousness of his condition, also expressed hope and requested prayers from fans.

While the cause of death remains undisclosed, C Confion’s sudden passing has undoubtedly left a void in the he arts of many. His talent and comedic timing brought laughter and joy to audiences

Tributes are pouring in from fellow comedians, friends, and fans who remember C Confion for his infectious smile and undeniable charisma. We await further information regarding the circumstances surrounding his passing.

C Confion’s comedic contributions will continue to hold a special place in Ghanaian entertainment history.
