Some military personnel deployed to Bawku in the Upper East Region were involved in a road accident at Nkenkasu in the Ashanti Region on Sunday, July 26.
The crash involved a military vehicle transporting the personnel and a State Transport Corporation (STC) bus, according to preliminary information.
Police officers were deployed to the scene to assist with rescue operations, manage traffic and begin preliminary investigations into the incident.
The cause of the crash has not yet been established.
Authorities have also not confirmed the number of casualties or the extent of injuries sustained.
