First Deputy Majority Chief Whip. Alhaji Habib Iddrisu has given a strong indication that the biggest market for LGBTQI+ is the prisons.

He observes that the practice takes place on a very large scale there, and therefore, in the country’s bid to reform homosexuals, imprisonment cannot be an option.

Alhaji Habib Iddrisu, who was speaking to Joy News, said apart from imprisoning homosexuals, prison sentences for advocates, among others, in the bill need to be looked at and amended.

“It will interest you to know, if you ask prison officers, that the number one community where they practice gay is the prisons. So if you are reforming someone and you throw the person into prison, will the person be reformed?

So that was the assertion of Afenyo-Markin. The President said he has been injuncted from receiving it, and the Parliament has also been injuncted from transmitting it. So the president was following the constitution with the letter he wrote to parliament,” he said.
