New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman aspirant, Paul Afoko, has commended the party’s vetting committee, chaired by former Sanitation Minister Cecilia Dapaah, for what he described as a thorough exercise.
Mr Afoko made the comments after appearing before the vetting committee ahead of the party’s national congress scheduled for October 3.
The NPP has scheduled the vetting of aspirants from August 31 to September 3, with candidates for the positions of National Chairman, General Secretary and National Treasurer expected to be vetted on the first day.
Speaking to the media after the exercise, Mr Afoko said some of the questions posed by the committee prompted him to consider strategies he had not previously thought about.
“The process was really very fair and in fact there were frank discussions. The calibre of the committee is not small; the way they pose certain questions that even I had not anticipated.
“Some of them, I am definitely going to include them in my strategy planning for the party going to 2028,” he said
